Exciting news: Wendy will be working with Aziza Chaouni Projects again on an ecotourism master plan for the Abaynou Thermal Spring and Oasis on the southern coast of Morocco. We will dive deep into the local region's ecology, and cultural, social, and productive landscapes. Our goal is to deliver comprehensive planning and design guidelines for future landscape infrastructure, tourism, and public space developments

Wendy participated in Rhode Island School of Design's Landscape Architecture CorSite/Ecology/Design studio midterm and final reviews.

Together with Aziza Chaouni Projects, Transsolar, and many other talented consultants, our proposal for the Bët-bi Museum in Senegal came in second place. Congrats to the winner, and on to the next!

Dr. Xuanyi Nie (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health), Dr. Chan Zhang (Zhejiang University College of Media and International Culture), and Wendy co-authored a paper titled "The Therapeutic Value of Campus Landscape to University Students' Mental Well-being: Evidence from a Chinese University." The forthcoming paper was presented as part of the Planning for Green Cities session at the 2022 American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting.

Fall 2021 is an exciting semester. We are finally back on campus and seeing everyone in person. Wendy and Shaine are thrilled to teach at Northeastern University this year, exploring urban ecology and technology topics with students from all disciplines.

Bridge X: Reimagining Brooklyn Bridge has won a 2021 Boston Society of Landscape Architects Design Award! The project took home the Merit Award in the Communications category. Congratulations to the team!

At the 2021 ASLA Conference in November, Wendy will lead an education session with Andrew Lassiter, New York City Council Urban Planner, and Andrew Brown, Van Alen Institute Director of Programs, sharing their experiences and lessons learned throughout the Reimagining Brooklyn Bridge Competition.
